Caravaggio’s Amor Vincit Omnia (love conquers everything) and Baglione’s The Divine Eros Defeats The Earthly Eros

the divine eros was intended as an attack on baglione’s hated enemy, the artist caravaggio. it shows a boy on one side, a devil with caravaggio’s face on the other, and inbetween an angel representing pure, meaning non-erotic, love.
